IPVanish Improves Its Security and Ease of Use.
More than double the number of server locations have been added, and a new double-hop VPN feature has been introduced.
IPVanish has launched a significant update that enhances its VPN service, significantly increasing its server network to over 2,400 locations across 108 countries. This growth aims to improve accessibility for users, allowing them to enjoy new options for more efficient internet browsing.
One of the most notable features of this update is the new Double Hop VPN service, available on all its applications for Windows, Mac, Chromebook, iOS, and Android. This option provides an additional layer of security by routing internet traffic through two different VPN servers instead of just one. This means that users benefit from double encryption and increased anonymity in their IP address, making it harder for third parties to track their online activity.
The increase in servers not only expands the browsing options but also improves connection stability. IPVanish has added over 50 new locations, including countries like Armenia, Bangladesh, Ecuador, and Venezuela, reflecting considerable progress in coverage, especially in Asia and South America. The company has claimed that it actually has the largest number of server locations in South America among major consumer VPN services, ensuring safer and faster online connections.
The Multi-hop VPN, which allows internet traffic to be routed through two different VPN services, has also been introduced to strengthen privacy. This feature is especially recommended for those requiring greater security, such as journalists or activists in regions with high censorship, travelers using public Wi-Fi in hotels or airports, or individuals handling sensitive financial information.
The recent update follows a security enhancement in October, where IPVanish added additional tools such as a secure browser and an advanced plan that includes a no-logs VPN, a threat protection system, and 1TB of encrypted cloud storage.
