iOS 18.2 will offer daily Sudoku puzzles for Apple News+ subscribers.
The new update of Apple iOS 18.2 will include daily Sudoku puzzles for News+ subscribers. This feature adds to the already available ones: crosswords, mini crosswords, and quartiles.
The highly anticipated iPhone update, iOS 18.1, will be officially released next week, introducing Apple Intelligence. Meanwhile, Apple is already working on the next version, iOS 18.2, which has entered its beta phase and is expected to be rolled out broadly in December. This new update will include daily Sudoku puzzles for Apple News+ subscribers, according to sources close to the matter.
Users will be able to choose from three levels of difficulty each day, ranging from easy options to more challenging ones. Additionally, there will be a scoreboard to track statistics, including the total number of puzzles completed, speed metrics, and more. This will be the fourth puzzle gaming option available for Apple News+ subscribers, joining Crossword, Crossword Mini, and Quartiles. Also, The New York Times offers a variety of games with its subscription, including the popular Wordle option, highlighting a growing trend in this type of content.
Sudoku will also be available to Apple News+ subscribers in the upcoming iPadOS 18.2 version, and it’s rumored that macOS Sequoia 15.2 will offer a similar experience. Apple News+ costs $13 a month independently, though it is often offered as part of a bundle that includes Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple Fitness+, and iCloud storage.
But number-based mobile games are not the only novelty that iOS 18.2 will bring. Apple Intelligence will expand, including a custom emoji creator called Genmoji and the integration between ChatGPT and Siri. A child safety feature will also be included, which will obscure nudist content and report it to Apple.
