iOS 18 addresses a significant issue related to Apple passwords.
Certainly, this is a mistake that no one wants to witness, and now it is completely blurred.
Apple has released updates iOS 18.0.1 and iPadOS 18.0.1, marking the arrival of the first improvements in the new series of operating systems. While version iOS 18.1, which introduces the highly anticipated Apple Intelligence features, will generate great excitement, this critical update addresses significant bugs.
One of the most relevant fixes in iOS 18.0.1 concerns the new Password app from Apple. The update notes indicate that there was a bug that could allow VoiceOver to read passwords unintentionally. This issue, which was inconvenient for users, has now been resolved. The Password app is Apple's first standalone tool designed to manage passwords, passkeys, and Wi-Fi passwords, available on iPhone, iPad, and integrated into macOS Sequoia and visionOS 2.
Additionally, this update resolves an issue that arose in the Messages app. A bug that caused audio messages to record a few seconds prior to microphone activation has been fixed, a problem that affected only the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max models.
On the other hand, iPadOS 18.0.1 improves the experience for some iPad users who, after updating to iPadOS 18, found their devices locked. This issue had a particularly negative impact on the new iPad Pro (2024).
Apple is expected to release more updates within the iOS 18.0.x series, but the next major improvement will be iOS 18.1, which will incorporate innovations from Apple Intelligence for compatible models, including the iPhone 16 and iPhone 15 Pro, planned for release before the end of October.
