Independent audit verifies that IPVanish does not log your data.

This is the second occasion that VPN providers are testing their no-logs infrastructure.

A recent independent audit has confirmed that IPVanish does not store user data, as stated in its privacy policy. The cybersecurity firm Schellman Compliance conducted a thorough analysis to verify that IPVanish's data handling practices are consistent with what its privacy policy promises.

As of April 10, 2025, a new page called the Trust Center has been launched, where users can access all IPVanish's no-logs audits, quarterly transparency reports, policies, and other initiatives in one place. This is the second successful examination that IPVanish has presented regarding its privacy policy claims, having passed a similar audit in 2022.

The Schellman team reviewed all relevant server configurations and IT systems of IPVanish in February 2025 to assess whether user activities were being collected or stored on its VPN servers. The conclusion was clear: "No logs were retained by IPVanish," the auditors stated.

Subbu Sthanu, the Chief Commercial Officer of IPVanish, commented that "people shouldn't have to genuinely take a VPN's word on data handling." It is common for the best VPNs on the market to offer no-logs privacy policies, subject to regular audits, to ensure that no personal information or usage data linked to the user can be collected.

It is important to mention that while many no-logs VPNs collect basic data such as email addresses or the number of users connected to a server, this information is not sufficient to identify the user or their activities on the VPN.

As part of its commitment to transparency, IPVanish has launched its new Trust Center, where evidence supporting its no-logs stance, independent audits, and transparency in its infrastructure can be found. "The Trust Center provides users with evidence of our no-logs stance, independent audits, and infrastructure transparency, all in one place," Sthanu added.

In this center, users can also consult quarterly transparency reports detailing data requests received by the VPN from governments, as well as attempts at malicious activities. IPVanish clarifies that there is nothing to worry about, as this data does not exist and, therefore, the company cannot provide it, regardless of requests.

Users can learn more about IPVanish's data handling practices, available tools, and ongoing initiatives through this new platform, as well as via the VPN app for iOS and Android.
