HP unveils its new EliteBooks at CES 2025: Copilot+ PCs powered by Intel's latest AI chips.

The 14-inch Elitebook Ultra G1i features a 3K OLED display and a 9MP webcam. Additionally, the company introduced a 2-in-1 computer with a hinge that allows for 360-degree folding.

HP has introduced three new models of 14-inch Elitebook at CES 2025, all equipped with the latest Intel processors. The lineup includes the Elitebook Ultra G1i, which stands out for its 3K OLED display, a 9MP webcam, and a haptic touchpad. Additionally, two Elitebook X models have been introduced, one of which is a 2-in-1 device with a 360-degree folding capability.

These new laptops have been promoted as PCs with artificial intelligence capabilities. This trend stems from the growing demand for devices that integrate AI functionalities, driven by the Intel Core Ultra 5 and 7 chips, specifically designed for on-device AI tasks, offering three processing engines for this purpose. All Elitebook models are classified as Copilot+ PCs and can handle AI tasks at a speed of 48 TOPS (trillions of operations per second).

The configurations of the three Elitebooks will be available with either 16GB or 32GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB or 512GB. The EliteBook Ultra G1i is differentiated from the others, featuring a high-end display, webcam, and touchpad, with a resolution of 2,880 x 1,880. Its 9MP webcam enhances video call quality through its AI technology and will be accompanied by a complete sound system, including "dual studio-quality microphones" and four speakers.

In terms of weight, the non-touch version of the EliteBook Ultra G1i weighs 2.63 pounds (almost 1.2 kg), while the touch version weighs a bit more at 2.68 pounds (approximately 1.2 kg). Its touchpad is haptic, similar to Apple models, providing a consistent tactile experience across its entire surface.

On the other hand, the EliteBook X G1i and the EliteBook X Flip G1i are similar, although they differ mainly in design. The Flip model completely folds thanks to its 360-degree hinge, while the standard model maintains a traditional clamshell design. In terms of displays, these models feature lower-resolution LCD panels, typically 1,920 x 1,200, although there is also a 2,560 x 1,600 option available for both. Additionally, they have a 5MP webcam, which is inferior to that of the Ultra.

Due to its 2-in-1 design, the Flip model has a touchscreen in all its variants, while the standard model offers both touch and non-touch options. It is compatible with HP's rechargeable active pen, which is sold separately.

So far, HP has not revealed information regarding pricing or release dates for these new ultrabooks, although they will be showcased at CES 2025 in Las Vegas this week.
