This content was released alongside an anniversary update for the game and places you in the shoes of Kieran Estevez, who is investigating one of the Federal Bureau of Control's research facilities. However, before Estevez can venture into the Lake House, you need to obtain a specific keycard. To do this, you will need to solve a six-digit code on a computer. Fans of Alan Wake 2 are familiar with these puzzles, which are often complicated, so here’s how to obtain the elevator keycard.
Once you discover that you need a keycard with the proper authorization to use the elevator in Alan Wake 2: The Lake House, head to the large office right next to the elevator. You will need to access the computer, and the clues that lead to its six-digit password are scattered throughout the room. To make your search easier, the access code for the elevator in Lake House is 071838.
To arrive at this solution, examine the document to the left of the computer. You will find a printed document stating that the company advises changing the password daily, suggesting the use of a fixed series of digits as a start, followed by numbers that change daily. It also mentions that significant personal dates should be used and that birthdays and the current date should not be used, which rules out September 14 from the calendar on the right. However, do not ignore the calendar, as the day's curiosity mentions the number 38, which is the final part of the password.
To discover the first four digits of the code, step away from the table and head to the bookshelf. There, you will find three items to inspect, the most relevant being a letter in the bottom right that details the completion date of the facility, July 18. In numbers, this translates to 0718, so the complete password is set as 071838.
