How to Follow the Launch of DJI’s New Drone Today and What to Expect.

Tune in to witness the imminent arrival of DJI's promising Air 3S drone.

DJI has recently unveiled its new drone, the DJI Mini 4K, recognized as an excellent budget-friendly option for beginners. However, the company is already preparing for its next announcement. There is anticipation surrounding the event titled "Chase the View," which suggests the arrival of another flying camera, although it does not explicitly state that it is a drone.

Recently, leaks about the DJI Air 3S have circulated, strengthening the likelihood that this mid-range drone will be announced today. The Air series is positioned between the smaller Mini models and the high-end Mavic line, serving as an attractive midpoint for most users. The DJI Air 3, released in July 2023, is not an old model, making it more likely that DJI will introduce an 'S' version rather than launch a new Air 4.

This new model could be very interesting for aerial photographers and videographers. Leaks suggest that the Air 3S may come equipped with a new tracking accessory, allowing the drone to follow you without the need for a bulky controller.

The launch event will be streamed on DJI's YouTube channel, with the broadcast starting at 9 a.m. ET / 2 p.m. BST / 11 p.m. AEST on October 15. The event is expected to be brief, similar to the brand's previous launches.

In addition to the Air 3S, there are rumors of a new controller called the RC Track, which could simplify the experience by allowing the drone to follow you during activities such as cycling or racing. There is a possibility that this new controller will also be compatible with other models, such as the Mini 4 Pro.

On the other hand, the Air 3S is expected to incorporate Lidar technology to enhance its obstacle avoidance system and increase internal storage capacity to up to 42GB. An upgrade in the main camera is also anticipated, which could feature a 1-inch sensor for better low-light performance, though it is expected that the telephoto camera will maintain a 1/1.3-inch sensor.

Expectations are high for this event, especially for those interested in aerial photography and videography.
