Hollow Knight: Silksong will be released in 2025.
The sequel to Hollow Knight is very close to its release.
Hollow Knight: Silksong, the highly anticipated sequel to the acclaimed Hollow Knight, has received a new estimated release date for 2025, as announced in a brief video during the recent Nintendo Switch 2 presentation.
This title was originally presented in 2019 as a DLC for Hollow Knight; however, the developers at Team Cherry decided that the game had grown in scope and originality, deserving to be an independent project. Silksong will take place in a new kingdom and offer players a variety of moves, weapons, and new enemies to face.
During E3 2019, Nintendo showcased a demo of the game, but since then, there have been few significant updates. In June 2022, Xbox revealed a new trailer and announced that the game would be available within 12 months, although it was subsequently delayed just before that timeframe. Additionally, the game has been confirmed for PlayStation. In January, Matthew Griffin, the marketing and publishing lead for Silksong, stated, "the game is real, it is progressing, and it will be released."
With the recent confirmation of the release window, fans might begin to set aside their skepticism regarding the arrival of this anticipated title.
