Google Maps introduces new color options for your virtual vehicle icon.
Finally, our long national nightmare has come to an end.
Google Maps users who use vehicles will soon enjoy even broader customization options. Four years after Google allowed users to modify the design of their vehicle on the navigation screen, these possibilities will be expanded. A forthcoming update for the Google Maps app will include the option to choose from five new car models, such as a hatchback, a Jeep, and a vehicle resembling a Tesla, along with eight new colors. This will give users greater control over the visual representation of their vehicles in the app.
Previously, customization options were limited to four alternatives: a standard arrow, a yellow SUV, a red car, and a green truck. With the new update, users will be able to choose from eight vehicles (including the arrow) and eight different colors for each. It is important to note that this feature has only been accessible in the iOS version of Google Maps and is not yet widely available. However, it is reasonable to assume that the Android version will also receive this update in the near future, as Google is the developer of the app.
Google Maps remains the most widely used navigation app for many people, and the company continues to provide support and enhancements. For example, a few months ago, the iPhone version underwent a significant redesign. Users should remember that there are also alternatives available in the market.
