GeForce Now sets a limit of 100 hours of gaming per month.

One of the most significant changes to be implemented in 2025 is the introduction of a monthly limit of 100 hours for game time.

GeForce Now, Nvidia's cloud gaming service, is implementing significant changes. The subscription previously known as Priority has been renamed to "Performance," offering an enhanced gaming experience with no changes in price. Users of this new tier can now enjoy game streaming in resolutions up to 1440p and in ultrawide formats, as well as the ability to save settings across different gaming sessions. These improvements make the Performance tier more similar to the Ultimate tier, which is the highest category and allows for 4K streaming and high refresh rates through servers equipped with GeForce RTX 4080.

One of the new features being implemented in 2025 is a monthly limit of 100 hours of gameplay for members of the Performance and Ultimate tiers, aimed at efficiently managing Nvidia's cloud infrastructure. The company has indicated that this limit will only affect a small percentage of its user base, as more than 94% of players typically remain below that threshold. To provide greater flexibility, up to 15 unused hours can be rolled over to the following month. Those who reach their limit will have the option to purchase additional time, with blocks of 15 hours available at a cost of $2.99 for Performance members and $5.99 for Ultimate members.

To reward its loyal subscribers, Nvidia will offer unlimited playtime for those who maintain an active subscription before December 31, 2024, allowing them to play without restrictions until January 2026. Additionally, a temporary 25% discount on daily passes will be implemented, making it easier for players to try out the new Performance and Ultimate memberships for 24 hours. The prices for these passes are $2.99 and $5.99, respectively, and the Daily Pass will include an option that allows users to apply the cost of the pass to their monthly subscription if they decide to upgrade within 48 hours of its expiration.

With over 2,000 titles available and new additions every week, GeForce Now positions itself as one of the most comprehensive cloud gaming libraries on the market, catering to various player preferences. Nvidia's recent updates underscore its commitment to maintaining a premium gaming experience while managing infrastructure based on the needs of cloud users.
