Elon Musk's xAI launches its own API.

It is available if you want it.

Elon Musk has taken another step in the field of artificial intelligence with his company xAI. This week, xAI officially launched an API for its chatbot Grok, which is integrated into the X platform (formerly known as Twitter). According to available information, Grok offers its services at a cost of $5 per million input tokens and $15 per million output tokens.

It is not entirely clear what those who decide to acquire the API at this moment will get exactly. It is mentioned that the only model available for purchase is called "grok-beta," although this does not clarify whether it is the most recent model, named Grok-2. Additionally, it has been mentioned that there could be models intended for image and text analysis, but as of now, these are not operational.

Grok began integrating into X at the end of last year and has become a fully accessible chatbot for X Premium users, available through a tab at the bottom of the screen. Its distinguishing feature is that it does not have as many limitations as other chatbots, which has led to unsettling responses on various occasions throughout the year.
