Elon Musk passes away during a tutorial boss fight in a live stream of Path of Exile 2.

Elon Musk, in an attempt to improve his image within the gaming community after admitting to using account boosting methods, live-streamed his experience playing Path of Exile 2 during a flight, as part of a test of the Starlink internet service in the air. However, during the stream, he was bombarded with numerous messages from viewers attacking him for his role in dismantling the U.S. government and his complicated personal life.
The stream, which can still be viewed on X, lasted approximately one hour and 45 minutes, during which Musk remained largely silent, staring into the camera as he progressed through the early stages of the game, which was released in early access in December. Throughout the session, he experienced several deaths, prompting him to create new characters while playing in hardcore mode, where death is permanent.
In the early moments of the stream, Musk began receiving private messages from other players. Some were celebratory, hailing him as a "god gamer," but soon the messages turned into spam and, at times, abusive. One of these messages asked him to "clap for daddy." Another person, claiming to be Ashley St. Clair, a former partner of Musk currently involved in a custody battle over their five-month-old son, also sent him a message. Additionally, other comments directly targeted Musk's self-serving dealings with the U.S. government, reminding him that, “Elon, deep down you'll always be cringe, no matter how much money or power you have.”
Several viewers attempted to offer help by suggesting he disable messages, but Musk took no action on that front. In the final minutes of the stream, he created a hardcore character named Kekius Maximus, a name that reflects a meme style associated with 4chan and that he has used as his username on X. Unfortunately, Kekius Maximus had a short life, as Musk was defeated by one of the game’s tutorial bosses due to connection issues, bringing the stream to an end and leaving another strange episode in the saga of the supposed gamer that is Elon Musk.
