Donald Trump Rescues TikTok at the Last Minute.

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has once again offered unexpected support for TikTok.

The TikTok app has once again managed to evade the ban in the United States thanks to a 75-day extension granted by President Donald Trump. This announcement was made through a post on Truth Social, where Trump communicated his decision to sign an executive order that will give more time to conclude a possible agreement regarding the Chinese-origin platform.

Trump emphasized that his administration has been working hard to reach a deal that will save TikTok, noting that significant progress has been made in the process. However, he stated that there is still work to be done to ensure that all necessary approvals are signed. The new executive order aims to keep TikTok operational for approximately another two and a half months.

In his post, the president also referenced trade relations with China, mentioning that the Asian country may not be satisfied with the tariffs imposed by the United States. Trump asserted that these tariffs are essential to ensuring fair and balanced trade between the two nations, also considering that they are an important tool for national security. In this way, the president made clear his desire to work together with TikTok and the Chinese government to reach an agreement that satisfies both parties.

It is worth noting that the deadline previously set by Trump for TikTok was scheduled to expire on April 5.
