Recently, staff has also appeared at the FTC.

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) led by Elon Musk has managed to establish a presence in the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), an entity that influences the resources Musk needs for his initiatives in the private sector. According to recent information, three individuals linked to DOGE have been identified in a public directory called "Finding People at the FCC." They are Tarak Makecha, Jordan Wick, and Jacob Altik, who appear in the FCC directory with email addresses associated with the agency. All are listed under the office "OCH," which in documents from other agencies refers to the Office of the President.

Makecha is a financial executive who, according to his LinkedIn profile, recently worked at a drone detection software company and has previous experience at Tesla. It has been indicated that he has been involved with DOGE at the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and the State Department. Wick, a former engineer at Waymo, has reportedly had access to systems in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Altik, on the other hand, is an attorney who has also participated in the OPM.

DOGE has expanded its influence to other regulatory bodies, such as the Federal Trade Commission. The FCC's authority over radio, television, broadband, and satellites intersects with Musk's businesses, including granting the necessary permits for SpaceX's Starlink operations. Its role as a regulator means it handles information about SpaceX and its competitors, which affects its decisions. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt had previously stated that Musk would sidestep potential conflicts of interest. The FCC has yet to provide comments on the role of DOGE officials in the agency or on the restrictions they will have on access to data.
