One of the innovations promised by the Apple Vision Pro after its launch in 2023 is the transformation of entertainment, with a particular focus on immersive reality in movies and series. After several months of anticipation, the Cupertino company has released the first trailer for a film specifically designed for this device. The movie, titled Submerged, will be available for free to all Vision Pro users starting this Thursday, October 10, at 12 p.m. ET / 9 a.m. PT, and will be accessible through the Apple TV app.
Submerged is a short film notable for being written and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Edward Berger, an Academy Award winner recognized for his work on productions like "All Quiet on the Western Front" and the upcoming "Conclave." The plot focuses on a submarine during World War II, following its crew as they face a devastating torpedo attack. This film offers a unique storytelling experience made possible by Apple Immersive Video technology, which combines ultra-high-resolution 3D video and spatial audio, placing the viewer at the center of the experience.
