Circle to Search will have a slight redesign. Here’s how it will look.

Changes are coming to the Android Search Circle function, which will include a sleek redesign for the opening and closing animations.

One of the most notable features of Android in recent years could soon receive some modifications. Changes have been discovered in the Circle to Search function in version 16.0.7 of the Google app. One of the anticipated additions is a new feature called “Get Game Help,” designed to assist users during their gaming sessions. This feature is activated via a new chip that quickly initiates a Google search with the phrase: “Get help with this game.”

In practice, Circle to Search will also introduce a new animation when accessing and exiting the tool. When the feature is activated on the phone, the search bar expands from an oval shape located at the bottom of the screen. Upon completing the search, the bar shrinks back down to a pill-shaped “G” icon. The new version will include an animation that allows the search bar to slide up when starting a search and smoothly return to the bottom of the screen when entering and exiting.

Additionally, Circle to Search will offer three different themes for the search bar: a standard white background, a matching color palette, and a translucent background. Google initially announced Circle to Search in January 2024, and it was originally exclusive to the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Google Pixel 8 models. Since then, it has gradually been rolled out to more devices, including older Pixel models and other phones.

The release date for these modifications in Circle to Search remains unknown.
