Bowers & Wilkins launches a Pro edition of its iconic 2007 Zeppelin wireless speaker.

Of all the Zeps resembling hot air balloons that preceded it, this is the first "Pro" model.

Bowers & Wilkins has introduced a new version of its iconic Zeppelin speaker, which has received praise since its launch in 2021. This dirigible-shaped speaker is not a novelty for the brand, as it has been releasing wireless speakers with this feature since 2008, including the Zeppelin Air and Zeppelin Wireless models in 2011 and 2015, respectively. The company believes that consumers still have space in their lives for a speaker with this appealing shape, which creates the illusion of floating above any surface.

The Zeppelin Pro Edition, the name of the new model, enhances the design and speaker configuration compared to its predecessors. On the outside, two new finishes are offered: Solar Gold and Space Gray, alongside a revamped downlight that offers more than 15 selectable colors, each with adjustable brightness options.

The performance of the Zeppelin Pro is improved thanks to the incorporation of dual titanium dome tweeters, similar to those used in the B&W 600 Series speakers, such as the acclaimed 607 S3 model. These tweeters are mounted at the edges of the enclosure and are completely isolated from the vibrations generated by the larger speakers present in the device. Additionally, it features two 90 mm midrange drivers that use Fixed Suspension Transducer (FST) technology, also applied in the company's floor-standing speakers, and a 150 mm subwoofer that helps deliver solid bass response.

In terms of connectivity, the Zeppelin Pro Edition offers multi-room functionality and is compatible with other new Zeppelin speakers, as well as Bowers & Wilkins' Formation line. It allows streaming via AirPlay2 and aptX Adaptive Bluetooth, as well as integration with Spotify Connect. Furthermore, major streaming music services can be accessed through the Bowers & Wilkins Music app.

Another highlighted feature is its seamless integration with Bowers & Wilkins headphones, such as the PX8 and the new Pi8, controlled by the same app, making it easy to transfer music between the headphones and the audio system upon entering the house.

The new Zeppelin Pro Edition has been available since October 15 in Space Gray and Solar Gold colors, priced at $799 or £699, equivalent to around AU$1,360.
