Asus unveils the 'World's Lightest PC Copilot+' with a 32-hour battery at CES 2025.
The ASUS Zenbook A14 will be available for purchase starting January 13th.
Asus recently unveiled its new line of laptops with artificial intelligence during a virtual event at CES 2025, highlighting the launch of the Asus Zenbook A14. This model is remarkably lightweight, weighing only 2.18 pounds, making it the lightest PC Copilot+ available to date. The company attributes this lightness to a material called Ceraluminum, which combines aluminum with magnesium alloys, thus optimizing its construction and making it more resistant to impacts, stains, and scratches.
The Zenbook A14 marks a milestone for the Zenbook line, as it is the first model to utilize Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, including the Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon X processors, which feature a NPU of 45 TOPS. This provides enough power to use various artificial intelligence features, such as live subtitles and creation tools in Microsoft Paint, as well as enhancing photo quality in applications. With 32GB of memory and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, it promises a smooth user experience, complemented by a dual-fan cooling system.
One of the most impressive aspects of this laptop is its battery life. The Zenbook A14 offers up to 32 hours of offline video playback on a single charge, while the estimated time for online video streaming is 28 hours, and web browsing can last up to 19 hours.
Additional features of the Zenbook A14 include a 14-inch OLED display with a peak brightness of 600 nits, a Dolby Atmos-compatible speaker system, and a full set of connectivity ports, including one USB 3.2, two USB 4.0, an HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5 mm audio output.
The launch of the Asus Zenbook A14 is scheduled for January 13, with availability in Iceland gray priced at $1,099, and the Zabriskie beige version expected to be available for $899.99 by late winter or early spring 2025.
