Asus unveils the world's lightest 'PC Copilot+' at CES 2025.
Alongside a variety of new non-gaming laptops.
Asus has unveiled a series of new laptops during the CES 2025 trade show, highlighting its focus on productivity. One of the most notable launches is the Zenbook A14, which Asus claims to be the "world's lightest PC Copilot+," weighing less than 980 grams. Despite its lightweight design, this model does not appear to compromise on performance, as it reportedly offers an impressive battery life of 32 hours, a Snapdragon X Series processor, a 14-inch Full-HD OLED display, and options of up to 32GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage.
Additionally, the ASUS Zenbook Duo 2025 has been revamped, incorporating two 14-inch OLED touchscreen displays in a 16:10 aspect ratio with a refresh rate of 120Hz. This device can include the latest Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and configurations of up to 32GB of RAM and 2TB of SSD storage, all in a portable design measuring 14.6 mm thick and weighing 1.35 kg. The Zenbook A14 is already available in the UK from £999, while the Duo will launch in late February starting at £1,699.
Asus has also expanded its Vivobook lineup, launching 14-inch and 16-inch laptops equipped with Snapdragon X processors. Both models feature an HD display, a battery life of 19 hours, 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of SSD storage. These models are expected to arrive in February, but prices have yet to be confirmed.
Finally, the brand has introduced new versions of the ExpertBook B5 and B3, designed with features aimed at professional users. Notably, they include Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors and have passed 24 military-grade durability tests. They also come with a Digital Product Passport to provide more transparency regarding their sustainability credentials and optional smart card readers.
The performance of these new laptops still needs to be evaluated, but with robust features and Asus's reputation, they are expected to be competent machines for handling various productivity tasks.
