"Are You Having Issues with Slow Photo Transfers in Google Messages? Google Promises a New Update Will Bring a 'Notable Difference'."
Google is addressing the issue, although some users continue to experience difficulties.
Several users of Google Messages have reported issues with receiving photos and videos on the platform. Through Reddit, experiences have been shared that highlight slow media transfers, as well as frustrations over the inability to load images and videos, which often appear blurry or fail to load altogether.
Google has acknowledged these issues in a support statement, where they said: "We know that many of you have been facing problems receiving media in Messages, particularly slowdowns and failures. We understand how disruptive this can be and appreciate you bringing it to our attention."
The company has indicated that it is working on the situation by implementing updates to improve media performance in the app. In this regard, they stated: "Our team has been actively working on this, and we have recently released updates aimed at significantly improving media reception performance. We hope you notice a marked difference now. However, we also know that issues can be complex, and we are committed to resolving this."
Despite the announced improvements, some users continue to experience problems, prompting Google to urge Messages users to keep reporting any issues they encounter.
In addition to these problems with Google Messages, the company is facing other issues this week, including bugs with Chromecast that result in an "untrusted device" message that prevents casting.
