Apple could be developing a new app called 'Invites'.
The year has just begun, and Apple may be in "Sherlocking" mode to develop a new iOS application called Invites. So far, there are few details about this new tool.
Recently, there has been speculation about the possibility that Apple is developing a new app called Invites for its iOS system, in a move that some consider "Sherlocking." Although details about this app are scarce, it is suggested that it could compete with services like Evite or Partiful.
An analysis of the code from the beta 2 of iOS 18.3 has revealed hints about the potential functionality of Invites, which would allow users to share invitations for events, whether in-person or virtual. This new app would be compatible with iCloud and might include a web version available on iCloud.com.
Currently, Apple allows sending invitations through its Calendar app for events like meetings. However, it is expected that the new Invites app will offer a different way to manage invitations, providing a link to a page that displays the event details in an aesthetically pleasing manner, as well as a list of the guests. This would be particularly useful for events like birthday parties, weddings, school meetings, or corporate events.
Additionally, it has been indicated that Apple could use a new internal framework called GroupKit to manage groups of people, such as guests. There is also the possibility that a mini app for iMessage could be developed to allow access to Invites. For now, Apple has not made any official announcements regarding this app nor indicated when it will be available to users.
