An iconic Christmas carol by Brenda Lee is adapted into Spanish with the help of artificial intelligence.

The recent edition titled "Noche Buena y Navidad" has been translated with the help of artificial intelligence technology developed by Soundlab.

The famous Christmas song "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree," performed by Brenda Lee, is about to experience an innovative moment with the release of its Spanish version titled "Noche Buena y Navidad." This project is being carried out by Universal Music, which is utilizing artificial intelligence technology developed by Soundlab. The production was led by Auero Baqueiro, an award-winning music producer with four Latin Grammy Awards.

For this adaptation, Baqueiro translated the original lyrics from English to Spanish, aiming to maintain the appropriate meter and rhyme while respecting the original themes. Chilean singer Leyla Hoyle was chosen to perform the vocal part in Spanish, ensuring she emulated Brenda Lee's distinctive style, including aspects such as phrasing and tone. After recording the Spanish vocals, Soundlabs' AI technology was applied to merge Lee's voice with Hoyle's performance.

This release marks the first collaboration between Universal Music Group and Soundlabs, announced in June 2024. Soundlabs is a company founded by artist and software developer BT and has been designed to operate responsibly in the field of artificial intelligence. This initiative is part of UMG's commitment to the ethical use of technology, according to its CEO Lucian Grainge.

Brenda Lee expressed her excitement for this new release in a statement, noting that throughout her career, she has recorded songs in different languages, but she never had the opportunity to do so with "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree," which now feels like a special gift for her fans.
