AMD RX 9000 Series: Everything We Know About RDNA 4.

The AMD Radeon RX 9000 series is set to be released soon. Below is all the available information about AMD's upcoming RDNA 4 graphics cards.

With the launch of AMD's RX 9000 series around the corner, these new graphics cards are expected to compete with some of the best on the market. As the official announcement at CES 2025 approaches, more information has leaked about this anticipated product line, which is rumored to be rebranded from RX 8000 to RX 9000, indicating an appealing range of GPUs.

AMD plans to unveil the RX 9000 series during its conference at CES 2025, scheduled for January 6 at 11 a.m. PT. While it hasn't been confirmed which cards will be showcased, speculation surrounds the presence of the RX 9070 XT and possibly the RX 9060 XT. Release dates remain uncertain, but the RX 9070 XT is expected to be available by the end of January.

Regarding specifications, AMD continues to rely on the RDNA 4 architecture, which will include the Navi 48 and Navi 44 chips. Although it was initially thought the company would directly compete with Nvidia's high-end GPUs, AMD seems to be focusing on the mid-range PC gaming market. Jack Huynh, the company's vice president, made it clear that their goal is to capture a larger market segment, rather than solely targeting high-budget customers.

Rumors suggest that the RX 9070 XT will be the most powerful card in this series, featuring 4,096 cores, 16GB of VRAM, and a 256-bit bus, reaching clock speeds of up to 3.1GHz. Preliminary comparisons indicate that its performance will be similar to Nvidia's RTX 5070, although some analyses have placed its performance on par with the RX 7900 XT, which positions it in a competitive but challenging spot relative to other cards, including AMD's own offerings.

On the other hand, the RX 9060 XT is a model that still raises many questions. This card could be based on the Navi 44 chip and might offer variants with different bus widths. It is expected to launch in March, with a projected price range between $250 and $350, promising to be an attractive option for those seeking a GPU with solid performance.

With the announcement on the horizon, the tech enthusiast community is eagerly awaiting more specific details about the range and performance of these new AMD graphics cards.
