A Close Look at the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 FE, a Surprisingly Compact High-End Graphics Card.
575 watts of graphics power in a two-slot space.
The presentation of Nvidia's RTX 5090 Founder's Edition has generated expectations, even among those who may be skeptical about some of the company's claims, such as the possibility that a $549 graphics card like the RTX 5070 could achieve the performance of the expensive $1599 RTX 4090. However, the RTX 5090 truly surprises, incorporating 575 watts of graphical power, 21,760 CUDA cores, and 32 GB of GDDR7 memory, all in a design that only takes up two slots in width. It is undoubtedly a design that must be seen to be believed.
During the CES fair in Las Vegas, an initial search was conducted to find an interactive gaming demonstration on this card, but it seemed fruitless, as none of the PC manufacturers had the RTX 5090 on display. Finally, on Wednesday, an opportunity arose at an external Nvidia event: there was the long-anticipated card, which, although heavy and possibly limited in availability, has been seen in action.
Images of the RTX 5090 are attached, showcasing its compact design and the PCB with the Blackwell chip, as well as a gaming demonstration running on this card. Comparisons can also be seen between the RTX 5090, 5080, and 5070 Founder's Editions, highlighting how bulky models from other manufacturers tend to be in contrast to Nvidia's model. This card measures 137 x 304 x 40 mm, which is approximately 12 inches long and occupies two slots in width.
